Hello everyone! I’m so excited to be collaborating with Melissa of alwaysmfashion.com. We took the spring/summer trends and decided to create a makeup and fashion series! After you read about the makeup look I did for Melissa, head over toMelissa's article and read about the fashion ensemble she's wearing! Don't forget to follow her on Instagram and Twitter. Both are @alwaysmfashion.
Today's trend is the minimal or "no makeup" makeup look. I really like this trend right now because it's a nice break from the extreme Instagram contouring. It's an easy makeup look that will go with any every-day outfit. I personally enjoy wearing minimal makeup on days I need to quickly get to work or I need to quickly run errands.
How I created Melissa's look:
I used a Korean concealer that Melissa owns and placed some under her eyes.
I blended the concealer under her eyes using an e.l.f. makeup sponge.
I then took thistranslucent powderfrom Rimmel and lightly powdered Melissa's whole face.
I appled blush from the e.l.f. Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Aqua Infused Blush and Bronzer Duo in Bronzed Pink Beige across her cheeks.
I applied the bronzer in the hollows of her cheeks and then softly blended it up to the blush line.
For Melissa's eyes, I applied an eyeshadow base all over her lids.
I patted the e.l.f. Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow in Rose Gold all over her lids.
I added a little bit of the bronzer to her outer corners.
I then blended out her crease using an e.l.f. cosmetics crease brush.
I applied a mascara to her lashes.
Melissa already had her brows mostly done so I just added a little dark brown to any sparse areas I saw.
For Melissa's lips...
I applied the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Innocent to define the outer edges of her lips
And I grabbed the NYX Butter Gloss in Cream Brulee and applied it all over her lips.
